Michal Lukanowski

For over 15 years, I have delivered critical automation projects nationally and internationally across multiple sectors, providing complete lifecycle delivery from design through to on-site commissioning of PLC, SCADA, and custom software.

Experience

  1. Consultant Software Controls Engineer

    Jul 2023 – Present

Actemium Automation · Contract · Portsmouth, United Kingdom

    Portsmouth, United Kingdom

Engineered and commissioned control systems for semiconductor fabs by integrating multi-platform PLCs (CODESYS, Straton, Mitsubishi) and .NET/Docker HMIs with field devices via Modbus, CAN, Ethernet, Serial, and OPC.

Developed and commissioned full-cycle PLC, SCADA, and telemetry architectures across 15+ distributed sites, deploying the complete Rockwell Automation stack alongside ProSoft modules, AVEVA System Platform, InTouch, and ICONICS.

    • One of the projects

Project: Hydrogen Recovery System (Straton, .NET, Rockwell, Serial, CAN)

A dual-PLC control architecture programmed with Straton and a specially built .NET HMI. Successfully integrated wide range of field devices, establishing communications with Rockwell drives, serial power supply units (PSUs), and CAN-networked voltage scanners.

  3. Software Controls Engineer

    Sep 2012 – Jul 2023

Cougar Automation · Portsmouth, United Kingdom

    Portsmouth, United Kingdom

Developed and commissioned end-to-end control system software for clients in a variety of sectors, including manufacturing and highly regulated industries. I drove the technical execution of these projects by programming PLCs and industrial comms networks, conducting comprehensive FAT/SAT testing, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams during final on-site commissioning.

    • One of the projects

Project: Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) Vacuum Pump Systems (Straton, .NET)

A fully redundant, highly reliable control architecture utilizing a network of 12 Straton PLCs paired with a custom-developed .NET HMI. Commissioned the final systems on-site at advanced semiconductor fabs across Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan.
